WINFIELD R-IV SCHOOL DISTRICT
New Middle School and District-Wide Improvements
S. M. Wilson & Co. was selected by Winfield R-IV School District to perform as the Construction Management at Risk for their 2020 Bond Issue.
Projects included a new 53,000SF middle school adjacent to the existing High School, new high school locker room and VOAG additions, interior renovations at the existing middle school, as well as several other district-wide improvements for the Winfield School District.
The existing middle school was then turned into the Primary School. Interior renovations consisted of selective demolition and new construction of restrooms, resource rooms and a computer lab. It also received a playground relocation/renovation.
The high school received a new 5,600SF pre-engineered metal VoAg building addition, which includes a new shop and two classrooms. A 2,150SF pre-engineered metal building locker room expansion was also added onto the existing weight room.
Improvements throughout the district included security vestibule/ADA entry and district-wide security devices added to classrooms.
