ST. LOUIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Meramec Campus Emerging Technology Center & Financial Services Education Center

St. Louis Community College’s strategic plan, also known as STLCC Transformed, aims to include new construction, renovation and demolition to each of its four campuses. S. M. Wilson was chosen to provide Construction Management services to the College’s Meramec campus.

Several of Meramec’s existing facilities were built in the 1960s. The outdated buildings had limited daylight, outdated building systems and infrastructure and compartmentalized rooms.

New construction includes two new 65,000 SF buildings - Emerging Technology Center (ETC) and the Financial Services Education Center (FSEC).

The Emerging Technology Center is home to the campus library and Academic Success and Tutoring. It also houses expanded IT offerings, allows for new programs such as horticulture and game design, and has an accessible green roof for study space.

The Financial Services Education Center features modern, innovative classrooms and an entrepreneurial center offering business and accounting students hands-on learning opportunities and real-life experiences. Other spaces in the building include lounge area, private study bays, collaboration spaces and spaces for student services, including advising, financial aid and enrollment.
