Central Intermediate School Gym Addition

S. M. Wilson completed Central Intermediate School's new 11,040-square-foot gymnasium addition for the 2025-2026 school year. With bleacher seating for more than 500 people, the versatile space hosts all-school morning meetings, physical education, school performances, assemblies, athletic programs and community events. The school previously utilized a small, multi-purpose room, which was renovated as part of the project into a specialized center for students with special needs, featuring two large classrooms, adjacent sensory rooms and two therapy rooms.

Students were able to watch the construction progress through classroom windows and playgrounds that surround the job site.

"The ability to have all of our students in one space for morning meetings and physical education has been a game-changer for our school culture. The new gym is a beautiful and functional space that will benefit our students in so many ways," said Central Intermediate School Principal Kelli Secor.
