ST. LOUIS, MO—S. M. Wilson & Co., a St. Louis-based construction management and general contracting firm, has promoted Greg Kutz to Director of Preconstruction.
Since joining the company in 2010, Greg has been integral to S.M. Wilson’s success. During his time in estimating, he has exemplified true leadership in both the general contracting market bidding process of our business and the implementation of Target Value Delivery in the construction management segment of the company.
“Greg has been personally instrumental in the career development of our estimating staff. Greg’s team-building skills with the O/A/C teams, both internal and external clients, have become a model for our Preconstruction teams,” said Steve Meeks, director of Vice President of Estimating and Pre-Construction. “Greg embodies our company’s mission to go Beyond The Build by putting our clients first and leading with excellence.”
As Director of Preconstruction, Greg will be responsible for leading the preconstruction team through the construction management process from the initial sales effort through the conceptual stages of design, utilizing the lean principles of Target Value Delivery. To ensure that the project design aligns with the Owner’s budget, Greg will also manage the decision-making process to maintain preconstruction schedule delivery milestones.
