New Department Stores
S. M. Wilson & Co. was chosen by JCPenney Corporation to provide construction management services for their new retail store in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. This project was the first new construction store that was completed by S. M. Wilson. The new 99,119 SF store opened with JCPenney’s new off-mall format. The off-mall format features stand alone stores with wider aisles, new lighting designs and concentrated customer service centers. Since the completion of the Dardenne Prairie store, S. M. Wilson has provided construction services for nine new JCPenney stores in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Arizona and Ohio and has worked on several store renovations in Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, Indiana, Minnesota, North Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
