 St. Louis, Mo., August 2, 2010 – The United States Army Corps of Engineers has selected S. M. Wilson & Co. to build a new Digital Training Facility at Ft. Leonard Wood in south-central Missouri.
The $11.5 million, 64,000 square-foot educational building will house classrooms, simulation labs, lecture auditoriums, administrative areas, a loading dock and a storage warehouse with two elevators. The project is designed to be LEED certified, and the Army Corps of Engineers will seek the Silver rating in the LEED classification system once it is completed.
S. M. Wilson is providing general contracting services. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2012. Gossen-Livingston is the project’s architect.
S. M. Wilson recently established a federal government/military construction business group to grow this segment of the company’s business.
