St. Louis, Mo., August 4, 2010 – S. M. Wilson & Co. has completed construction of the new $14 million Von Maur store at The Meadows in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. The 124,000 square foot department store is the first Missouri location for Von Maur, a nationally recognized high-end retailer focusing on customer service, quality merchandise and a comfortable shopping environment. A grand opening is scheduled to be held on September 18, 2010.
The design of the store is similar to existing Von Maur locations providing customers with an open, residential feel to enhance their shopping experience. The two-story building is distinguished by a center court clerestory and high-end exterior finishes, including brick, stone and an insulated finishing system façade.
S. M. Wilson provided general contracting services on the project, which began in June 2009. Architect is Shive Hattery, Inc.
