11/6/2014 - ST. LOUIS COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT SELECTS S. M. WILSON & CO. TO MANAGE CONSTRUCTION OF $31 MILLION FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM AT ELEVEN LIBRARIES
St. Louis, Mo., November 5, 2014 – The St. Louis County Library District has selected S. M. Wilson & Co. to manage the construction of more than $31 million in upgrades at eleven library branches across the county in Phase 1 of a master facilities capital improvement plan.  Two libraries will receive new buildings, and nine additional libraries will receive significant upgrades.  Work has begun on the two new branch facilities.

10/29/2014 - ROLLINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY WORKS WITH S. M. WILSON & CO. TO TRANSFORM STUDENT COMMONS AREA INTO ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY
Indianapolis, Ind., October 29, 2014 – Rollins Construction Company is acting as a subcontractor to parent company S. M. Wilson & Co. to transform a 28,000 square foot student commons area inside Shreve Residence Hall into an academic support center on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.  The $2.1 million renovation project will turn an under-utilized area of the building’s first floor into a collaborative learning environment to support a variety of teaching styles.  Rollins Construction Company will perform the project’s demolition, carpentry and concrete work.

9/26/2014 - S. M. WILSON SELECTED BY U. S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS TO BUILD NEW $6 MILLION DINING FACILITY AT FORT MCCOY ARMY GARRISON, WI

St. Louis, Mo., September, 23, 2014 – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected S. M. Wilson & Co. and Brigadier Construction Services, a Joint Venture, as the contractor to build a new $6 million Dining Facility (DFAC) at Fort McCoy, Army Garrison, Wisconsin.

9/26/2014 - SIDNEY KARNEKE AND JOHN HELFRICH JOIN S. M. WILSON & CO. AS SITE SAFETY HEALTH OFFICERS
St. Louis, Mo., September 25, 2014 – Sidney Karneke and John Helfrich have joined S. M. Wilson & Co. as site safety health officers (SSHO). Karneke will serve as the SSHO at the new Army Reserve Center (ARC) being built at Ft. Lewis, Washington and Helfrich will serve as the SSHO for the new dining hall project at Ft. McCoy.  They will help project managers identify the safety equipment and procedures needed for the project and ensure that those procedures and equipment are used in compliance with regulatory requirements.

7/22/2014 - TRISTAR PROPERTIES BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF $25 MILLION SPECULATIVE DISTRIBUTION FACILITY AT GATEWAY COMMERCE CENTER
St. Louis, Mo., July 21, 2014 – TriStar Properties, in partnership with PCCP, LLC, has begun construction of a $25 million, 673,127 square foot speculative distribution center at the Gateway Commerce Center in Pontoon Beach, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis.  The Gateway RT Distribution Center will be built by the joint venture of Propper Construction Services and S. M. Wilson & Co.  A groundbreaking event with local and state officials will be held at the site to celebrate the start of construction.
